Job Description

Door Shop Production Managers are responsible for maintaining a safe work environment, obtaining daily production goals, implementing LEAN manufacturing practices, scheduling door shop employees, managing inventory, assisting and teaching employees how to build interior and exterior doors and maintaining quality control of product produced at the door shop.
Essential Functions:
  • Manage a group of Manufacturing Associates
  • Reaching daily, weekly, monthly production goals
  • Working on the floor teaching and building interior door units
  • Quality Control of product
  • Inventory Control - Invoicing and Receiving and Bill of Materials
  • Maintaining a routine schedule of equipment maintenance. 
  • Repair and replacement of machinery parts

  • Computer Skills: Word Processing Software, Spreadsheet Software, Inventory Software, Manufacturing Software, Order Processing System
  • Ability to read and comprehend documents (i.e. policy and procedure manuals); write routine reports and correspondence; speak/present in front of a small group.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations. 
  • Associate's Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous management or supervision experience in a door manufacturing facility strongly preferred.
