Job Description


Significantly increase premium window/door market share while increasing margin % and gross profit dollars.

  • Work with all the area-market stores and OS reps to promote, quote and sell premium windows & doors. 
  • Work with the local manufacturing rep(s), architects/designers to help secure new business and enter into new business segments.
  • Candidate should have substantial premium window/door sales experience.
  • Experience with the listed manufacturers quote tools is required/ preferred.



  • Andersen (100, 200, 400, A&E), Jeld-Wen (Wood & Clad), Plygem Mira
  • Fiberglass/steel (on premium window jobs when not able to sell premium doors)

Custom Millwork: Local millwork doors and other high end millwork items as required. 

Additional Responsibilities: 

  • Increase store margin % and gross profit $ on premium windows & doors
  • Increase market share in the market of premium windows & doors
  • Increase sales close -ratio of OS reps for premium windows/doors
  • Seek out new market segments (custom, remodel/replace, light commercial)
  • Enhance/build key working relationships with local manufacturing sales reps.
  • Work with local architects/designers as a valuable/ongoing resource
  • Quoting, ordering, selling and partnering with all local OS reps.
  • 70% of time spent traveling the local market, on job sites and selling; (30% admin)
  • Help coordinate service efforts to keep the projects moving  & keeping builder loyalty


Skills Required

  • Ability to maintain and grow customer base through prospecting, development, quoting, and follow-up.
  • Computer literate with Microsoft Office and email.
  • Ability to read blue prints and prepare a material take-off list.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and government regulations; write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.


Experience Required

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum 3 years sales experience in building materials supply.
  • Demonstrated selling experience, working knowledge of sales forecasting and account management.
