The Property Acquisition Specialist is responsible for finding appropriate store sites and complete new site investigator checklist for each site. Other responsibilities include: complete the site investigation process; prepare presentation package for site trip; negotiate agreements with land owners; secure 2-3 signed agreements prior to site trip.
Essential Functions:
- Find appropriate store sites throughout the country for 84 Lumber store facilities.
- Evaluate and Determine sites to be purchased for optimal success of stores.
- Assist in preparation of budget for stores assigned
- Makes decisions to align the real estate portfolio with an organizations goals, needs amid acceptable risk loss goals.
- Must be capable of negotiating an option agreement or an agreement of purchase and sale.
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or at least two years of specific experience and/or training related to the essential functions of the job; or equivalent combination of education and training.
- Must understand Commercial Real Estate.
- Ability to provide history of past negotiations.
- This position requires extensive travel, must be willing to travel as needed.
- Demonstrates expertise in property evaluation, zoning, and the municipal approval process.
- Must possess strong negotiating and research skills.
- Computer Skills: Microsoft Office and Excel.
