Job Description

The Property Acquisition Specialist is responsible for finding appropriate store sites and complete new site investigator checklist for each site. Other responsibilities include: complete the site investigation process; prepare presentation package for site trip; negotiate agreements with land owners; secure 2-3 signed agreements prior to site trip.

Essential Functions:

  • Find appropriate store sites throughout the country for 84 Lumber store facilities.
  • Evaluate and Determine sites to be purchased for optimal success of stores.
  • Assist in preparation of budget for stores assigned
  • Makes decisions to align the real estate portfolio with an organizations goals, needs amid acceptable risk loss goals.
  • Must be capable of negotiating an option agreement or an agreement of purchase and sale.
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university; or at least two years of specific experience and/or training related to the essential functions of the job; or equivalent combination of education and training.
  • Must understand Commercial Real Estate.
  • Ability to provide history of past negotiations.
  • This position requires extensive travel, must be willing to travel as needed.
  • Demonstrates expertise in property evaluation, zoning, and the municipal approval process.
  • Must possess strong negotiating and research skills.
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office and Excel.
